Job Title: Mid-Level Java Developer with (IBM DataStage) Location: Basking Ridge, NJ or Greenville, SC Duration: 6+ Months Contract Max Rate: $40/hr Face to face interviews will be done in Greenville or Basking Ridge (After a Phone interview). Job Responsibilities: As a Java Developer you will be responsible for: Participating on teams that carry out full lifecycle software development activities Playing a leading role in setting the architecture and design for our products Designing and developing reusable software modules that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability and performance Providing accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning Advising management on how products and processes can be improved Participating in peer reviews for designs, code and other work products Writing technical documentation Reviewing the work of others Developing innovative approaches Being sought out as expert Skills/attributes are a must have: 3+ years' experience working in a high volume DataStage environment. 3+ years' experience Design and develop rules and event solutions using IBM ODM, iLog, iLog integration, iLog customization, Rule/Decision Service optimization 3+ year experience with data transformation frameworks and technologies, including XML, XSLT, and IBM DataStage Hands-on development in Java/J2EE Experience with querying relational databases (Oracle 10g or greater, DB2, SQL Server) Experience in relational data modeling and design, development, and performance tuning. Skills/attributes are nice to have: Experience in Unix / Shell Scripting Experience in the development of extensions and services using IBM MDM Experience in the development, implementation of IBM MDM product Experience in the defining the standards for IBM MDM services and the requisite approaches for updating and enhancements Experience with various development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, etc.) Experience with Spring Framework, Struts 2 & MVC design patterns Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP) Experience in the QA and Testing Services related to the development and deployment of MDM services into the production environment Experience with building customized MDM code Experience in crafting detailed design specifications as well as test plans for unit and integration testing Strong oral, written communication skills.
