Job Title: Mobile Developer Location: Stamford, CT Duration: 1 Year Contract Max Rate: $50/hr Contract - EAD, GC or Citizen The current person in this role has 5yrs of exp (not senior level) Job Responsibilities: We are seeking a strong technical candidate to join our web development team. The candidate must be proficient in mobile web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive web design. The candidate should also be well versed in standard web technologies including Java EE, JSP and Linux. This candidate will work on a dynamic team with the goal of designing and building innovative mobile banking solutions. These solutions should be flexible, scalable, cost-effective and supportable. The candidate should be passionate about emerging technologies and design trends in order to ensure that our mobile offerings are current, relevant and competitive. Essential Functions: Work with Global Development Consultants (GDCs), system engineers, and project managers to create and review detailed technical and functional requirements Lead and collaborate on technical designs and architect solutions which consider impacts on overall platform Review and approve designs for projects Participate in testing and test script creation with development team Monitor application code quality through development, test, and QA Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution Participate in finding ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by GE Retail Finance Ensure compliance with change control and release management processes (including holiday freeze adherence) Serve as technical expert on application(s) within team of system engineers Provide insight and guidance based on lessons learned and best practices Provide 24x7 on-call support periodically throughout the year Work with shared infrastructure teams to develop and maintain the eCommerce system’s hardware and software platforms Work with Client and Business leaders to develop technical solutions to their key business problems Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Working knowledge of web application technologies such as Responsive Web Design, JSP, Java EE, HTML, HTML 5, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Strong knowledge of web and application server operation (SunWeb7, Glassfish preferred) Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP and HTTP protocols Working knowledge of mobile industry including HTML5, IOS, mobile web, Native App Development is a nice to have Proficient in Linux OS Strong understanding of object oriented design and programming Strong understanding of web architecture including web, app, data tier and network design Strong knowledge of hardware/software architecture and operating system fundamentals Strong cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization and partner with global development companies Strategic perspective with demonstrated accountability and execution Change agent with the ability to drive compliance and standardization Solid understanding of IT organizations and deliverables Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment Detail-oriented Ability to multi-task Desired: Well versed in banking and financial services platforms such as FIS Profile. Bachelor’s degree with focus in Computer Science related field Experience developing and supporting financial/banking web applications.
