Major Responsibilities
• Prepares functional requirements, feasibility studies, program

vendor supplied packages.

Summary:

As a Java Web Application Architect, Roles include working closely with
customers to provide troubleshooting support, code analysis and knowledge
transfer. Maintain and support current and new Java application development
tools frameworks and open source libraries. Use their Java web application
architecture, design, development skills and experience to implement
infrastructure based application security requirements. Participate in
overall direction and strategy execution for Java web application design,
tooling and development standards. Work with a diverse Java development
community across many functional areas within the Client enterprise to
field application design and problem questions.

REQUIRED SKILLS –

• Extensive experience using IBM Rational Application Developer (7-8 years)
or Eclipse IDE (7-8 years).
• Strong skills in application architecture, application design, Java
development and Java language features (7-8 years).
• Ability to perform application root cause analysis, JVM memory analysis,
diagnostics and defect resolution (7-8 years).
• Must be a self-starter with the desire to research and learn new
technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and a customer
focused attitude required.

DESIRED SKILLS –
• Good project management and communication skills to develop and act on
improvement plans.
• Experience in SQL development using Oracle, MySQL and/or DB2.
• Knowledgeable in Developing Java applications.
• Knowledge or experience in incident and change management.
