Job Title: Java Application Frameworks Architect Location: Horsham, PA Duration: Contract-to-hire *Must pass a drug test and background check once offered the position* Must be EAD, GC or Citizen - need to be onsite *Write-up Criteria * Spring Framework Maven REST web services Cherry on top: OAuth & JSON Position Description: Collaborate with a team of IT professionals in designing and developing Enterprise Application Architecture Framework Integrate reusable Java/J2EE components, frameworks, and libraries with new and existing applications Develop tools and utilities to assist in application integration and adoption of developed Java/J2EE components, frameworks, and libraries Define and document implementation patterns for developed Java/J2EE components, frameworks, and libraries Collaborate with other architects on the evolution of developed Java/J2EE components, frameworks, and libraries Consult on application development projects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and practices Perform in-depth technical evaluations of Java/J2EE components, frameworks, and library offerings Review application architecture of large scale distributed applications, resolve technical issues, and provide recommendations for improvement Participate and/or lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives in the areas of SOA, BPM, EAI, and Portal architectures and projects Architect and develop reusable frameworks, and libraries and best practices for SOA implementations Educate and train software developers on Java/J2EE and SOA technologies Lead Communities of Practice (COP) around various development technologies and standards Requirements: Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience. 10 + years of experience in the technology profession, including 5 + years managing technology projects in large, complex organizations. 5 + years of experience leading application development related projects across the entire SDLC. Deep knowledge of the environments (application and Infrastructure) involved across all phases of the SDLC. Prior experiences working with enterprise scale applications in a production environment. Experience working with Java/UNIX/Oracle based Portals and Web Applications required Experience working with cross functional teams required Knowledge of how infrastructure supports the SDLC, evidenced by the ability to collaborate with infrastructure professionals to get applications into production successfully. Demonstrated customer orientation and business acumen. Experience leading change management and adoption initiatives. Ability to build relationships across a large enterprise and influence decisions from top down and bottom up. Proven listening, facilitation and negotiation skills, demonstrated through success in a 'lead by influence' role. Understanding of portal or eCommerce applications of value. Prior experience working with global teams preferred.
