Job Title: Security Analyst Location: Vernon Hills, IL Duration: 3-6 Months Contract Only looking for local candidates. Interview is phone and face to face. Job Description Summary: This position is for a Technical INFORMATION SECURITY Analyst to support the implementation of IT Security controls and remediation of existing vulnerabilities. The viable candidate should have a CISSP or equivalent IT Security certification and/or experience with IT Security technologies from Cisco, FireEye, IBM, LogLogic, McAfee, Microsoft, Qualys, RSA, etc. This person will provide IT Security consultation and support to Data Center, End User and Network teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned. Own assigned tasks, resolve routine problems. Requires general direction, gives no direction to others and some knowledge of operating environments. 1) Provide support for technical area of support. 2) Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components. 3) Document system/environment changes. 4) Monitor system activities. 5) Assist in various projects. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. List knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 1) Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 2) Ability to work independently, under general supervision. 3) Knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on platforms supported. 4) Ability to follow established processes 5) Ability to apply problem solving techniques 6) Good verbal and written communication skills 7) Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills. 8) Familiarity with validated or quality systems is a plus. Education and/or Experience: Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or 2+ years of relevant technical experience. Technical certifications recommended.
