Role : Senior Developer with Oracle Reports - Hedge Funds
Location : Boston, MA
Face to Face is a must
Long term contract
Start ASAP
Finance is a MUST
Financial Services experience is a must - Candidate must have a strong
understanding
of financial data. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hedge Fund Compliance Reporting - SQL analysis & report development
Responsibilities:
* Ongoing work on Compliance reporting requests - Oracle reports development,
complex ad hoc data queries, data catalog creations, creation of FTP processes
* Interact with the technology team, both analysts & developers
* Interact with the Compliance business users on requirements
* Analyze & respond to specific business data requests
* Build SQL packages for ER report delivery
Skills
* Strong customer service & communication skills
* Investment management knowledge is helpful
* Oracle Reports Builder (Required)
* SQL (Required)
* Working knowledge of Perl scripting, shell scripting and FTP (nice to have)
* Experience in troubleshoot issues, checking application logs (nice to have)
* Experience working with a jobs scheduler (a plus, but not required)
Keys to the Position:
· 7 years of Oracle, PL/SQL and SQL experience
· Oracle Reports experience is a very big + (This candidate will be expected
to do Oracle Reports development in addition to PL/SQL)
· Financial Services experience is a must - Candidate must have a strong
understanding
of financial data. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· The location is flexible depending on the candidates preference - Boston
or Marlborough
· Selling points to the candidate:
· Ability to learn Tableau and OBIEE down the line
· Will gain a deep understanding in investment management including Hedge
Funds,
Derivatives, and Asset Allocation.
