Role : Oracle DBA
Location : Phoenix?Arizona
Duration : Long term
Interview : Initial interview will be by phone. Secondary interviews can be
by Skype, but final interview has to be in person.
Summary:
The successful candidate will assist in migrating from an old system to a newer
system. Coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the
database
applying knowledge of database management systems. Responsible for planning,
coordinating
and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
Typically
has an Bachelors degree with previous experience in programming. Experience
with Oracle 10g/11g. Must have experience with operations/productions general
administration of data bases. RAC experience/configuration of storage systems
experience is a must along with the ASM backup storage experience. There will
be some support to applications and help in production. A drug and background
check is required for this position. Some on-call duties are required.
Education/Experience:
* Bachelors degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology or
related field or equivalent experience/training
* 5-7 years Oracle DBA experience required

* Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,
customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
* Ability to work independently and manage one's time(Required)
* Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and

* Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment
and computer hardware and software (Required)
* Knowledge of Oracle 10g/ Oracle 11g software, (5+ years
experience
required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary
modifications
* Modify existing databases and database management systems
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development
and determine project scope and limitations
* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and
specify identifiers of database to management system
* Review project requests describing database user needs to
estimate
time and cost required to accomplish project
* Monitor, analyze and evaluate operational and functional trends
in systems performance
* Recommends change as needed to ensure continued systems health
* Plans and oversees the implementation of new systems into a
complex
corporate environment
* Responsible for complex system builds/configuration and software
installation
* Creates and maintains engineering documentation for technical
solutions
* Monitor, analyze and evaluate operational and functional trends

* Recommends change as needed to ensure continued systems health
* Other duties may be assigned
