Job Title: .Net Developer Location: Manhattan, NY Duration: 6+ Months Contract Must be Local to NY/NJ - F2F Required. Assignment Details The Application Developer will be responsible to manage, analyze, design, build and test configuration, scripting and programming changes to our client’s web applications and legacy systems. The selected candidate will be required to perform, and in some cases oversee tasks related to the development of computer applications and data transformation activities for the company. Duties include, but are not limited to, developing, designing, implementing, enhancing, maintaining, and analyzing multiple software systems and legacy applications. The .NET Developer acts independently to translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. Coding/programming, configuration, scripting, design, analysis (e.g. systems and impact analysis), develop, test, and modify applications including, but not limited to, multi-tiered web-based Microsoft ASP.NET applications, .NET console applications,.NET components, web services, interfaces, reporting applications and systems, document management applications and systems, and enterprise services components. Including similar work on application interfaces that may be interfaces to non-web applications and systems (e.g. mainframe) Identifies information security vulnerabilities and provides recommendations on solutions applied to applications, networks, and operating systems. Carry out/troubleshoot all aspects of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 application support, including specific tasks, resources, training, maintaining triage scripts, documentation, enhancements, bug fixes, change requests, troubleshooting, capturing screenshots, technical issues, functional issues, and similar within the Development & Support Team or as otherwise directed Participation in project plan development, development of solutions to meet functional requirements, provide accurate level of effort estimates for individual work and work of the team, support ongoing development, performance tuning, software upgrades, work cross-functionally with other IT project areas, troubleshooting and resolving end-user and supporting IT issues and activities with vendors as necessary, supporting planned maintenance Documentation and reporting, such as regular reports on work progress, code documentation, ticket fulfillment, SLAs, specs, designs, status reports, requirements, technical documentation, end-user guides, etc. Skills & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or related field Relevant work experience which includes Microsoft ASP.NET, VB.NET, .NET Framework 3.5/4.0/4.5, Web Services, Object Oriented Design and Analysis, IIS 6/7 MS Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2010, SSIS, Oracle, and IBM DB2. Knowledge of the detection, exploit, and prevention of software vulnerabilities (i.e., SQL Injection, XSS, buffer overflows) as well as emerging platform vulnerabilities (e.g., in Flash, AJAX) Full life cycle software development experience (SDLC) Understands product life cycles; developing initiatives that apply and implements solutions. Proficiency with the MS Office suite (including Project, Visio, Access) Excellent ability to understand business requirements and provide solution to satisfy the business needs Ability to anticipate business needs to effectively plan for the future of the applications and supported technologies. Ability to understand, incorporate, and influence the current and future application and technology architectures. Able to demonstrate advanced expertise and is able to find efficiencies based on experience. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
