Job Title: Mid-level QA Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 3+ Months Contract Max Rate: $30/hr Summary: Mid-level QA Manager is seeking candidates that can start immediately. Responsibilities Reviews functional requirements Designing, writing, and executing test cases and procedures that define specific test criteria and the expected results to be achieved. Perform risk analysis, as needed, along with proposed mitigation strategies Interface and work closely with development team to call attention to problems, resolving problems and/or assist in recreating them Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3 or more years experience as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst or Software Tester. Experienced in identifying test scenarios and creating and executing manual functional tests Understanding of and experience with all types of testing including functional, regression, system, integration, and smoke Flexibility to think like a user as well as a developer. The more mindsets you can put yourself the more effective you can be as a tester. Skilled with Windows Server or OS’. Domains, user settings, general windows settings/configurations etc. Understand VMWare, HyperV environments and how to use them. Understand how to use TFS/Visual Studio Detail oriented. Able to write succinct, but well worded test cases. Doesn’t have to be in a league with technical writer, but maybe a notch below. Patience. Ability and willingness to react to unforeseen roadblocks.
