We are seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL developer - 5+ years of experience 2. Must have strong tuning experience. 3. UI or Java development experience would be a big + (Candidates with this experience will be given first preference). 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment. 5. Financial Services experience is a plus 6. Candidate needs to be flexible as they will be working on a variety of different projects. Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business problems. *At least 7 years of experience and expert-level proficiency at PL/SQL development in Oracle *A sound understanding of core database concepts and hands-on experience with performance tuning of PL/SQL code *5+ years of experience including 2-3 years of experience in working on a software engineering team with onshore and offshore resources *Ability to articulate technical solutions to system analysts and business teams without using too much technical jargon *Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills. *Experience with object-oriented software design and development *Experience with iterative software development methodologies, such as Agile *Financial industry, regulatory or investment compliance knowledge is a strong plus *Experience working with enterprise messaging such as the MQ/Active MQ messaging system and distributed computing platforms is preferred. *Experience with web services, Groovy/Grails, EXTJS, XML/XSLT, Struts, log4j, ANT, Spring, AJAX is preferred Job Responsibilities As a member of this team, the individual will have the following responsibilities: *Participate with small to mid-sized development teams involved in full-lifecycle development efforts which are based on J2EE, Linux/Unix and Oracle technologies *Responsible for code quality and assurance by focusing on static code analysis, unit testing, design and code reviews, continuous integration, release management, performance tuning, test strategy and execution *Partner with System Analysts and Project Managers to implement business requirements *Coordinate infrastructure related activities with middleware and database teams *Implement systems based on well defined SLAs Thanks.
