*Business Analyst*
*Location:- Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada*
*6 Months Contract*

Senior Business Analyst requires 10+ years of experience.
With this experience level
Intermediate BA requires 5 to 7 years of experience
With this experience level

*General Skills and Experience:*
Must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent directly related work experience.
2 years’ experience in process analysis and documentation
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio.
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze
business processes and workflows.
Advanced understanding of root cause analysis and process improvement
concepts, methods and techniques.
Ability to break down complex processes and explain them visually and in
detail.
Experience with SIPOC analysis, producing process-maps, process-models
using one or more industry standard process analysis and modeling tools.
Helps the business determine the extent to which current processes
effectively align to business goals and objectives
Experience facilitating workshops and focus groups.
Must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet competing
deadlines; familiar with project management principles.
Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.
Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Clear and engaging oral and written communication skills.
Helps develop and maintain the business process documentation repository
A solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles would be a strong
asset

*Project Specific Details:*
(1) IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING
Work with the Project Manager and Business Relationship Manager, define and
develop the "Implementation Strategy" Phase 1 deliverable, which will
present the strategic approach and considerations and associated with the
operational deployment of the Personal Identification Card and working as
part of the project team along with stakeholders to develop the business
and technical models.
(2) BUSINESS/PROCESS ANALYSIS
Working with the BA team on the project to develop the "Core Business
Scenarios" and "Business Requirements Documents" deliverables.

* Strong Interview/Communication Skills
* Experience in the development of business models, operational models,
implementation/transition business plans, business scenarios and use cases,
requirements

*Responsibility*
Planning, performing, and implementing new processes or improvements to
existing, in view of achieving organizational effectiveness, regulatory
compliance and transformation objectives.
Identifying current state of processes, eliciting their useful and harmful
attributes, documenting models/flow charts and narratives of the processes,
and facilitating stakeholder groups to consensus regarding new business
process designs.
Obtaining an understanding of current processes by seeking input from a
variety of sources including, written procedures, documents and interviews
with employees from various departments.
Analyzing the process documentation, models, and flow charts holistically
to identify areas for improvement, while considering the impact of changes
on the people, strategy, systems and business operations.
Working closely with business and partners to identify/analyze core
business processes and workflows.
Creating a documentation standard for the company ensuring output has
consistent look and feel. Making recommendations on appropriate solutions
based on research.
Facilitating workshops with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s).
Documenting future state processes, including both manual and automated;
using visual models, flow charts and written narrative that adhere to
standards.
Creating robust future state processes to ensure documentation, models, and
flow charts remain current with implemented process changes striving to
improve usability.
Performing gapand root cause analyses for organization-wide end-to-end
process flows.
Working closely with the Power Users to ensure documents are easily
understood by a varied audience.
