Test Analyst who will join an existing 5-person QAT/UAT Analyst team that provides the following services *Conduct business analysis of the application including:* Collect and review all existing Business Requirements, Business Process Maps, Functional Requirements, Technical and Design Specifications. Review current application development, configuration management and quality control processes. Conduct interviews of SIR application Subject Matter Experts and capture business and testing knowledge. Provide Functional, Regression and User Acceptance Testing: Develop test plan Develop SQL database queries for extracting test data Manual test case development and execution Defect tracking and reporting Documentation of test plan and test results Maintaining testing artifacts and storing testing evidence. Develop a transition plan for providing testing managed services. *Role/Responsibility includes:* Collaboration with key stakeholders and Test Leader for test guidance Requirements Analysis Test Strategy Development and Review (approvals) Drafting of Test Cases and expected results Staging / Mock-up of required inputs Test execution and test coordination Triage / Issues management Documentation of Results *Must Have Skills:* User Acceptance Testing, test planning, test execution Intermediate to Expert SQL with preference for Oracle databases Industry standard tools: Quality Center (ALM), DOORS, ClearQuest, TOAD, Rational Req Pro, Microsoft Office *Nice to Have:* Project Management, especially issue tracking and metric reporting SQL DBA Web / Java Development Accounting *Soft Skills:* Effective Communication, Oral and Written – required for artifact documentation Self starter, works independently. We will give these resources some latitude with respect to their tasking. *Industry Background REQUIRED:* Finance Industry, preferably Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac with exposure to accounting. Workers assigned to perform Services under this Statement of Work must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 5-7 years of overall Testing or SME experience with MBS applications with at least 5+ years of experience working on large cross functional applications and projects. Mortgage backed securities (MBS) experience is a strong plus. Strong analytical and project management skills, including the ability to interpret customer business needs and work with technical staff to translate them into application and operational requirements. Strong ability to understand and represent high level technical capabilities. General understanding of technical applications and systems. Strong experience with testing methodologies. Ability to adapt to a newly implemented SDLC Excellent communication skills. Extensive SQL Scripting experience is required Create test plans, requirements, scenarios and test data for use during functional testing and UAT. Develop and execute functional/system test plans in a multi-tiered environment. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the business process which drives the application development and releases. Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and change control activities. Define and specify the implementation of standards, industry best practices, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating application development.
