Mobile Developer (Android and IOS) Boca Raton, FL 6 +Months *Android/iOS Developer Position Description:* FDOT in Coconut Creek has an immediate need for an Android / iOS Mobile Application Developer. This is a 6 month contract position, with potential to extend. This position will be focusing on the growth of the Sunpass mobile application. *Project:* Mobile Developer is being hired to work on a customer-facing application that is already live and available to users. The application for Android is live, but not being used, so it must be updated and revised to look exactly like the iOS application that is already in existence. Application must go live by end of 2015, then there will be enhancements and maintenance that must be done to the application. Person will work on full-stack Android application development and some iOS development as well. Must be strong in Java development technologies as well as Objective C. Should be able to present examples of Android and iOS applications he/she has built. Must have minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with Android and iOS Development. Must have development knowledge of front end and backend technologies and be able to fully enhance/change an application independently without guidance. Exposure to HTML5 is preferred as well for the front end development process. *Requirement:* Client is seeking candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years in mobile application development experience. Must have built an Android and iOS mobile application from start to finish in the past and be able to describe the process to the interviewer. Should be able to show a mobile application on his/her phone in the interview as an example of work. Must have experience executing a mobile application and also customizing it for tablets, as tablets have more features than mobile phones. Must have experience with changing a mobile application design. Must have experience working with end users and gathering requirements for the look and feel of the application and then executing on those requirements. This person will be the sole mobile application developer for this division, working under the direction of the Software Engineering Team Lead. *Development Languages Required:* - Java - Web Services - Json - Struts - Objective C - HTML5 *Experience Required:* - 1-2 years of mobile application development experience - Knowledge of Java programming and Objective C Programming - Android application development experience. - Working knowledge of Web Services & REST (JSON) APIs. - Familiar with source code management. Must have strong understanding of mobile application layout, design, keyboard and scrolling management. Must have strong knowledge of kiosk development. Must understand scrolling measurement as well.
