Defines technical solutions that fulfill specific business objectives while adhering to existing practices and defining new practices and strategies. Produces solution options and approach documents that clarify the problem space. Proposes a recommended solution, explains the rationale, enumerates significant components and addresses relevant constraints, risks, concerns, alternatives and the consequences of proposed choices. Maintains alignment to the enterprise strategy, reference architecture and other guidelines. Communicates the key details to various stakeholders using architectural viewpoints including business, information, application and technology perspectives. Key functions include strategic direction and leadership, technical responsibilities and solution development. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in information management, business or finance, or equivalent work experience Graduate degree WORK EXPERIENCE Proven track record in defining and implementing solutions 10+ years of solution architecture experience including 2+ years of insurance industry experience and proven track record of delivering integrated enterprise platforms. Large-scale transformation project experience. Knowledge working with HSB systems Strong working knowledge of solution architecture best practices, methods and models. Certification in one or more architecture methodologies (TOGAF, Zachmann, Gartner). TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong proficiency in proven and emerging architectures/technologies such as SOA, web services, and cloud computing. Strong proficiency in open and de facto technology standards. Strong working knowledge of ACORD. Proficiency in UML and similar modeling techniques. Working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools (e.g, Mega, Troux or similar). Significant experience with Guidewire, SAP and Microsoft architectures and development platforms. NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong skills in leadership, managing through influence, relationship management, communication, presentation, and mentoring/coaching.
