Participates in the development of software applications solutions, of moderate complexity projects. Develops, codes, tests, debugs, and documents applications systems to achieve the objectives of the client group relative to identified system needs, which may be new, replacement of existing systems, or significant modifications of existing software modules. Knowledgeable in one or more technologies, products or applications. Exhibits technical ability and performs as a subject matter resource for the assigned area of responsibility. Implements activities that impact important components / processes of the functional area. *Job Responsibilities * - Works on projects of moderate complexity, and leverages knowledge of applications development methodologies, hardware characteristics, and other technologies to produce comprehensive solutions, within the agreed quality, service commitment levels, schedules and budgets. - Actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally impact important components / processes of the technology function, including but not limited to writing code and scripts as per specifications that provide desired functionality. - Maintains and supports existing software, and develops new applications and tools. - Participates in software design. - Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur. - Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties. - Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks. *Qualifications* *Basic Qualifications * - Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience in software development / coding (to include academic experience and/or internships) OR High School Diploma / GED and at least 5 years of experience in software development / coding. - Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors. - Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. - Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). *Preferred Qualifications * - Bachelor's Degree in IT, IS, Mathematics or related field. - Demonstrated ability to write professional, quality, secure, performance capable code. - Experience with software development practices. - Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture. - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools. - Experience with Java and JavaScript coding languages. - Experience in Agile methodology. - Knowledge of web design technologies, such as HTML, XML, JSON, SOAP and REST - Experience with Oracle.
