platform Design level engineer/architect that is still hands on and can

*Pure Storage SME*

Client is planning to invest in Pure Storage as their all-flash storage
platform. They need a resource to design their data migration strategy and
work with them through the actual migrations. A design level
engineer/architect that is still hands on and can handle the migration work
once the design is complete would be ideal.

They will be migrating from various technologies, mostly EMC’s VMAX and VNX
arrays to the Pure Storage platform. This will be block-level migrations
(as opposed to file-level migrations). The items to be migrated include
physical servers, VMware-based virtual machines, and database servers (both
Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle).

*General information about their environment: *

They use Data Domain and Avamar for Disaster Recovery.

Moving to the Cloud – Public cloud, currently heavily invested in AWS – 10
TB of Data

Scoped out a 4-week PS engagement for November to review their environment
for suitability for the Pure Storage array, so this consulting position
will be focused on the data migration piece.
