Local candidates only please. * *This is a yearlong contract with the state of CA.* *Location: Sacramento, CA* *Duration: May 2017- May 2018* *CONTRACT STAFF REQUIREMENTS* The proposed contract programmer must possess the required qualifications below and will be rated based on the quality and quantity of experience listed in the desirable qualifications. *Required Qualifications* · 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining web applications · 5+ years of experience in designing relational database structures and coding data access layer functions · 5+ years of experience testing and debugging application code · 3+ years of experience working as part of an application development team *Desirable Qualifications* · Experience with testing and debugging dynamic data driven web applications · Strong coding and troubleshooting skills · Demonstrated experience in successfully completing projects on time · Able to take direction well · Functions well as part of a team committed to resolving coding and configuration issues · Well organized, can multitask and shift between projects and assignments well · Excellent communication skills; can interact with management, peers and clients well · Solid writing and documentation skills · Experience with migrating web applications · Experience with change control processes · Knowledge of security best practices. · Experience working with ColdFusion 9 and 11, Perl, JavaScript and object oriented frameworks. · Experience with SQL Server, Oracle and SQL Server Reporting Services · Familiarity with IIS, Windows 2003, Windows 2012, ColdFusion server and Windows Active Directory *STATEMENT OF WORK* The services of the Contractor in this engagement will be utilized to complete the migration of applications and scripts from a Windows 2003 environment to a Windows 2012 environment. The project will be led and managed by a DPR Application Development Project Manager and the contracted programmer will perform application migrations until all migration activities are complete or all of the allotted contract hours have been used, whichever comes first. *Project Description* The scope and needs of this application migration project have been well defined, as DPR has already completed the migration of half of the applications that were on the Windows 2003 servers. Therefore there is an established project schedule and a migration procedure that has been outlined for the completion of this engagement. Contract staff will be brought up to speed on these items as part of the on boarding process. The current web server environment consists of four Windows web servers. Two of the servers are Windows 2003 (development and production environments) and the other two are Windows 2012 (development and test on one and staging and production on the other). All four are working servers and two are production environments with production applications installed. Since the production servers are already in use, all migration activities must be carried out in such a way as to minimize risk to the resident production applications. *Description of Applications to be Migrated* The applications and scripts to be migrated are written in ColdFusion or Perl or a combination of both.
