SWIB utilizes Factset for portfolio management including performance and risk attribution. SWIB utilizes multiple modules inside of Factset but the main module that the consultant would be working with would be Portfolio Analysis (PA). SWIB has a need for a system administrator who can work with our Data Management Division and other staff to help improve the quality of the data within Factset on a day to day basis. In addition, the consultant will be involved in project related work that is bringing about changes to the Factset system. This effort would initially be for 3 months with the possibility of one or more 3-month extensions. The primary focus of the consultant will be troubleshooting data and configuration issues within the system to help improve the quality of the data and the results produced through reports run within Factset. This work will include interacting with business, technology, and data management staff to investigate and resolve issues. It will also involve configuring Factset and testing changes that are being rolled out to production. Finally, it will include educating SWIB staff on how to improve data quality in Factset, test changes to the system effectively, and troubleshoot issues. The system administrator needs the following skills and background: • • Over 2 years of experience troubleshooting, configuring, testing, and performing general technical management of Factset. • • Over 1 year of experience configuring reports within the Portfolio Analysis (PA) module in Factset. • • Understanding of the business processes and systems/data flow associated with investment management. • • Experience configuring Factset’s interfaces, reports, and exports.
