Job title: Database Developer Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6 Months Contract - There is a possibility this role could be hired on full time. Max rate: $50/hr on C2C $45/hr on W2 No H1 B OR OPT! Main duties are to enhance a database system that serves pharmacy operations. This role will enhance the systems that support a 340B drug program, patient care, and a reporting environment. Enhance the system in a few ways; we have other dispense / drug data sources and the system must be enhanced to handle them. In a very simple sense you can think about the system as a set of tables and objects/logic built for one hospital, but now having to support multiple hospitals each with their own rules. There are many components to this system, and some of the work can be extended on the existing framework, some will need to be original problem solving. There are some OS level utilities but the majority of the work is in SQL logic, stored procedures, and probably new tables / data design. There is additional work this role may also be asked to do, depending on the schedule and the rest of the team: Enhancements to the reporting environment to support third party therapy management data into our pharmacy data warehouse. This is data design and programming to represent clinical data and therapy encounters to a reporting layer. Enhancements to data feeds to our pharmacy partner organization. This is again data design, possibly new tables, and logic to verify data and feed it into an extract tool. Data delivery - The group this role is part of is also responsible for putting together extracts and reports to partners and business users / clinicians. There could be some of this work over the course of the engagement depending on time and schedule. Our environment is mostly Microsoft technologies, our pharmacy data warehouse is Microsoft SQL, our dispensing database is Oracle. Most of the work is done in the Microsoft SQL, some is done in Oracle (read only, we don't create objects in Oracle). Our business partners and clinicians are the SME's and we work directly with them. We have some business analysts on the team but many of these tasks will work directly with our business / clinical partners. Client is a big organization but our group has a small, entrepreneurial feel and culture. Skills: Skill set and abilities: Knowing how to create SQL queries, creating database stored procedures, and creating / modifying tables for operational use as well as reporting and data warehousing. Be able to troubleshoot slow performance and other performance tuning A person will do best in this role if they have experience in multiple environments, developed different systems, worked with different vendor packages. A typical candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, probably more around 7 or 8. This isn't an architect level role but it needs some seniority and taking ownership of your own work. Keywords: Education: 4 year technical degree in comp sci, software engineering, related field, or additional years of experience Skills and Experience: Required Skills: DATABASE PERFORMANCE TUNING PROBLEM SOLVING SQL STORED PROCEDURES Additional Skills: B2B SOFTWARE DATA SOURCES DATA WAREHOUSE DATA WAREHOUSING OPERATIONS ORACLE PHARMACY SOFTWARE ENGINEERING THERAPY *Best Regards,* *David Johnson - IT Recruiter* *MANIFEST Technology* *Email:* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> This email message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
