Job title: Project Manager Location: Mountain View, CA Duration: 6 month contact *Max rate: $65/hr on W2* Duties: Manage IT infrastructure projects with moderate complexity that may be broad in scope with a broad customer base, addressing multiple functional areas across multiple organizational domains, involving medium size teams with a reporting hierarchy. Responsible for developing the project resource plan, forecast and budget. Ensure that the project remains within the project budget throughout the project life cycle. Understand and influence decision making processes and cost/time/quality impacts to a project. Ensure cross-functional IT and business areas are involved as appropriate. Establish project success criteria and determine the degree to which the project achieved the objectives. Responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules. Manage scope, issues, constraints, risks, assumptions and change control process throughout the project life cycle. Track and report project progress and status. Initiate escalation of issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution. Ensure the successful migration to production (technical and business processes) and the development of an on-going support plan. Responsible for project teams adherence to and compliance with IT Standards, processes and tools (i.e. the Veritas project methodology, SOX, etc.). May lead and contribute to key project lessons learned to improve internal project management processes. Deliver to management and may lead identified gaps or follow-on efforts relative to overall continuous improvement within the Veritas project methodology, functional units, etc. Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experienced in IT infrastructure projects, facilities projects, acting as a vendor liaison, and making professional level presentations to all levels of an organization. Skilled at producing meticulous documentation. Consistently demonstrates ability to use innovative ideas to solve problems in a cost effective manner. Projects and programs are completed with no open items. Works independently work through interpersonal issues resulting in a successful project and teamwork. Bachelors Degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree preferred. 8-10 years total experience; Minimum of 3+ years project management experience.
