Job title: Salesforce QA Location: Plymouth, MN Duration: 6 Month Contract SOFT SKILLS ARE CRITICAL As a QA you'll use your knowledge of QA best practices to plan, design, craft and execute test solutions for various front and back end banking systems. Formulate testing strategies for a complex integrated environment and utilize your collaborative skills to partner with other disciplines, business users and vendors to bring high quality solutions to successful implementation. Major Areas of Accountability Deliver testing services to high complexity projects which includes developing testing strategy and plan, collaborating with all roles involved in testing, ensuing clarity with no gaps or missed handoffs in test coverage; Evaluate business and functional requirements, ensuring testability and completeness; Support Test environments during testing phases. Use your SQL knowledge to setup correct conditions for the scenarios under test; Design, create and execute test cases, including complex test data/environment setup; Track and report on test status and follow up on active issues until closure; Identify, troubleshoot possible defects and determine the probably source of those defects to aid quicker resolution; Support business users during UAT and introduce testing best practices where needed; Quickly develop a strong understanding of the technical details of the applications / systems being tested and document processes for future testing efforts; Create testing estimates with sound reasoning and highlight any deviations from plan as testing progresses; Evaluate and estimate change requests, highlighting difference in timing/cost due to project changes; Lead multiple test efforts simultaneously; Use existing QA and technical knowledge to evaluate current processes, propose and champion updates and improve testing for all areas. Required: 5+ years of QA / testing experience with a solid understanding of the QA role, testing principles and how QA fits into the Software Delivery Lifecycle; Salesforce experience Experience and comfort with test case management/defect tools (ALM, TFS, QA Complete etc.); Detail oriented with the ability to work with time constraints and also guide others to meet deadlines; Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Effective time management skills, ability to work well in a diverse environment; Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and implement new testing methods; Solid understanding of all phase of the agile methodology. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience. Preferred: Financial Services industry experience. Automated testing or scripting experience a plus.
