Work to support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user-acceptance testing as a part of Agile / Scrum teams. - Develop the ability to create, execute and maintain effective test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on requirements, user stories and project needs. - Learn and participate in front-end and back-end testing. - Experience testing software at an API level using SOAP UI, Postman, Swagger, etc. - Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects, and work with the Development and Business teams to troubleshoot issues. - Provide testing estimates for assigned work. - Establish and maintain traceability of requirements through test plans and cases. - Partner within Agile teams to ensure user stories & acceptance criteria are documented, understood, and testable. - Contribute to the tracking and reporting of established QA metrics and KPIs for assigned projects. - Represent the customer experience - Provide input on go / no-go decisions for production releases. - Agile collaboration with Product Development team to support practices for documentation of all test plans, test cases, and QA strategies and processes - Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts to design test strategies and develop and procure test tools to ensure highest quality deliverables and increase automation’s value to the organization. *QA Practices:* - Understand and support QA activities related to complex applications and system implementation projects. - Collaborate within the QA team to develop, implement, and improve innovative QA capabilities, approaches, and services. *Test Automation:* - Assist SDET’s by providing functional and complete manual tests to be included in automated testing and in helping to identify candidates for test automation. - Build and execute automated and performance tests for REST based services. - Maintain and expand an API testing framework for the growing number of integrations and partners - Identify the components of the system to be automated, based on both business priority and the benefit of automated testing. - Contribute code to central repositories through the use of Git branching - Identify and solve coverages within the application’s unit tests - Create complex SQL queries to support data manipulation for test development *Minimum Requirements* - QA experience in IT projects or assignments. - Experience with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Visual Studio Test Professional and Microsoft Test Manager a plus. - Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies. - Proficient at writing and executing SQL statements. - 2+ years’ experience in the development of Java, C#, or other object oriented programming languages - Experience testing applications built in Angular web application framework a plus. - Experience performing API testing - 2+ years of hands-on, automation testing of REST integration web services that include database validations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. -
