*Job Description*

The Business Analyst will serve as a key contributor to one of Client’s
primarily IT initiatives and the modernization the technology platform
which supports the Dealer Financial Services group.

As a functional expert on the specified application(s) and work stream(s),
and he/she will be the central point of contact between the business unit
and Information Technology's Application Development Teams.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for a full range of activities
which ensure the overall program effectiveness and excellence. The Business
Analyst is the "Voice of the Customer".

The Business Analyst will design and document workflows, develop, track and
analyze business requirements and make appropriate recommendations that
will positively impact the overall solution and program outcomes.

*Job Responsibilities*

   - Works directly with appropriate Team Lead(s) personnel to understand
   project concept, objectives and approach and takes assigned project
   activity from original concept through final implementation
   - Is the "Voice of the Customer" for the assigned business function o
   Acts as a consultant and advisor to the business.
   - Drives continuous process improvement.
   - Works with key project stakeholders and business people to formulate
   and communicate the business vision for the project, map out initial high
   level requirements and refine the scope of the project with the goal of
   getting the project focused early by translating the initial high-level
   vision into something realistic.
   - Work with key stakeholders to identify, model, document and represent
   their detailed requirements and business domain details.
   - Interprets business needs by working with project key stakeholders to
   translate their requirements into something that developers can understand
   as well as to translate the resulting questions that the developers have
   into something the stakeholders can understand by distilling the differing
   messages and needs of project stakeholders into a single, consistent
   vision. This includes significant negotiation and political maneuvering
   activity.
   - Engages with key stakeholders to validate their requirements and
   analysis models via techniques such as reviews, walkthroughs and play
   acting. Supports and aids in writing test plan, testing approach, user
   acceptance test (UAT) cases and is the liaison between project stakeholders
   and the testing organization during UAT.
   - Translates technical issues by breaking down technical and
   architectural complexities so that project stakeholders can easily
   understand any issues that crop up by explaining what the developers are
   doing and why they need to do it.
   - Develops and executes a Training Plan for the business and technology
   teams


*Required Skills:*

   - Strong oral and written communication skills to ensure effective
   communication between business customers and ITG/suppliers
   - Significant experience in interviewing, facilitation, and elicitation
   skills, to communicate with stakeholder groups and obtain essential
   requirements information
   - Listening skills, to understand what the stakeholders say, and to
   detect those areas that they may be hesitant to discuss.
   - Interpersonal skills, to facilitate requirement workshops as well as
   broker negotiation when necessary.
   - Creative thinking skills to push beyond the boundaries of existing
   practices and mindsets.
   - Analytical skills to differentiate "needs" from "wants", and to derive
   necessary and implicit requirements
   - Organizational skills to manage a wide array of information
   - Modeling skills, to represent requirements and processes visually so
   that understanding can be confirmed.
   - Written communication skills to effectively and unambiguously document
   the requirement specifications.
   - Understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, verification and
   management practices and the ability to apply them.
   - Experience with both packaged software and custom software development.
   - Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile,
   Iterative, Waterfall, etc.) and how requirements development and management
   practices support them.
   - Understanding of testing phases, processes, and practices and the
   ability to apply them to support testing activities.
   - Application/business domain knowledge is desirable. This may be
   readily available with the resource or would need to be developed.
   - Detail-oriented individual who can be relied on to produce accurate
   deliverables o Self-motivated, independent worker
   - Equivalency of a Bachelor's degree in a related field (information
   systems, computer science, business).
   - Minimum of 8+  years of experience in business analyst or other
   related business / information systems functions
   - o Certification as a Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) is desirable
   - o Technology: Knowledge of CaliberRM and Mercury Quality Center/Test
   Director is a plus.
   - Process Management: Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
