The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware Cloud (VMC) and EC2 migration, and will join our dynamic IT team. The candidate must have extensive experience in designing, planning, and executing migrations of on-premises workloads to AWS, specifically leveraging VMware Cloud on AWS and native AWS services such as EC2. The projects include migrating, modernizing, and deploying customer call centers on the Amazon Connect platform, integrating third-party solutions, developing feature functionality, and optimizing customer workloads within AWS. This role includes network configuration of VMC, AWS VPC, and transit gateway, as well as making recommendations on and implementing AWS firewalls and load balancers. The role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure seamless and efficient migration processes, maintaining high availability, and optimizing cloud resources. *Key Responsibilities:* · Migration Planning and Execution: · Design and implement strategies for migrating on-premises applications and workloads to VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and AWS EC2. · Develop detailed migration plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management. · Conduct pre-migration assessments and proof-of-concept (PoC) to validate migration strategies. *Architecture and Design:* · Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on AWS. · Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation for VMC and EC2 environments. · Ensure designs adhere to AWS best practices and meet business requirements. *implementation and Support:* · Oversee the implementation of migration plans, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. · Provide hands-on support during the migration process, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Application Development. *Optimization and Cost Management:* · Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability. · Implement monitoring and management tools to maintain system health and performance. · Provide cost estimates and control mechanisms to manage AWS spending efficiently. *Compliance and Security:* · Ensure all cloud solutions comply with security policies and best practices. · Implement robust security measures including IAM policies, encryption, and security monitoring. *Required Skills and Qualifications:* Education and Experience: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. · 5+ years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on AWS and cloud migrations. · Proven experience with VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and AWS EC2 migrations. *Technical Skills:* · Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch. · Experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Cloud on AWS. · Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation. · Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash. · Certifications: *Soft Skills:* · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Strong project management skills and attention to detail. *PLEASE NOTE:* If for any reason this does not interest you or you felt uncomfortable by any part of this email, I sincerely apologize.
