Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to support a leading client in utilities for power generation and distribution sector. This position is ideal for a hands-on technologist who can bridge the gap between modern SAP platforms and complex utility business requirements. The consultant will be instrumental in delivering technical solutions that align with business objectives while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and integrations using SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) services including: SAP BTP Core Services CAP (Cloud Application Programming) Model SAP UI5 / Fiori SAP Integration Suite SAP HANA Cloud / HDI containers Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Develop and maintain enhancements, extensions, and interfaces for SAP S/4HANA in alignment with SAP best practices. Support and troubleshoot system issues across S/4HANA and BTP platforms, including performance optimization and debugging. Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and documentation activities. Provide guidance on technical architecture, security, and compliance in SAP BTP environment. Assist in data migration, configuration, and integration for ongoing SAP projects. Work closely with utility-specific modules such as SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities), ensuring seamless technical integration and business alignment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in SAP Technical Development, with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA. 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry environment preferred). Strong proficiency in: ABAP (Core and OO) CDS Views OData services SAP UI5 / Fiori Elements SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management) Experience with SAP Event Mesh, SAP Business Application Studio, Git, and DevOps processes on BTP. Working knowledge of SAP IS-U or experience working with clients in the utilities sector is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
