Hello,

When you registered the project pingwinek at Gna!, you stated that
Pingwinek "is a too big for hosting therefore I want from gna.org only
website, bugtracking system, mailing lists and CVS for several tool
(pgw-box, pgw-base, pgw-release, pgw-utils, ...) and for boxes
(packages description)".

<https://mail.gna.org/public/help/2004-05/msg00000.html>

However, it turns out that you use the download to store iso
images. We do not want to refuse this to you, because distribution is
part of development, but it's quite annoying when on several
information websites the download area of your project is given as
main location to get such isos. So in the end, anyone that want to try
it out just consume the bandwidth and cpu of machines that are
supposed to be used in development context more than in distribution
context.

That's why we have as policy to refuses distros, because we do not
want to dedicate our ressources to anything that goes beyond the
development and the primary distribution.

In other words, end-users should use usual mirrors to get the iso,
while it would probably be acceptable to store recent iso at gna, with
restricted access to people that maintains mirrors.

What do you think?

(while our servers are not currently exhausted, one website currently
feature an article about your distro and the load of the box, the
bandwidth usage, is way beyond what we expect each group to use, and
we do not want to make developers that relies on Gna suffering of
that, I hope you understand).

Regards,
