I just ran a test to see how much people are actively using cvs (ie. one commit in the last 30 days): # for i in *; do [ x`find "$i" -mtime -30 -printf x` != x ] && echo "$i" >>/tmp/cvs_active; done Which gives 35 projects (out of 734). This is obviously a legacy technology, but it's still useful, and I don't count the anonymous checkouts. And of course it's a kind of archive of its own, not the same as a plain tarball (especially when combined with viewcvs). The good news is that CVS will use less and less ressources for the same reasons, merely disk space. And disk space is rarely an issue (the next upgrade will certainly involve at least 200GB disks). _______________________________________________ Project mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gna.org:8080/listinfo/project
