Hello,

For the record,

Today I discarded a project registration that provided the following
description:

> ==== Description: ====
> GNOU/Bové is a group of persons interested by Free Softwares and that
> support José Bové for the 2007 French election (see
> http://www.unisavecbove.org).
>
>
> The objective of the GNOU/Bové project are:
>
> * to improve the political program of José Bové (known as "Ce que nous
> voulons, http://www.cequenousvoulons.org) on the questions related to Free
> Softwares and more generally intellectual property
>
> * to propose a draft of reply to the questions that APRIL has asked to the
> candidats (through the website http://candidats.fr)
>
> * to campaign in favor to José Bové in the world of Free Software
>
> * to encourage the use of Free Software during the José Bové campaign
>
>
> The texts produced by GNOU/Bové will be available on Free licence (such as
> Free Creative Common licences)

Obviously, hosting such project could lead to confusion about Gna! / FSF
France / GNU, making people erroneously assume there's some kind of
endorsement.

Anyway, IMHO, if it is no problem to host a political group dedicated to Libre
Software (for instance FFII), it is a no-go to host a political group
directly bound to a political party.

Indeed, Gna! is a democracy, so if some admin disagree, we can arrange a
vote :) http://about.gna.org/#art5

Regards,
