1) Shouldn't the Perl die() call produce an output to stderr?
I am no Perl expert, that's why I called the mailinglist at all.

2) fcron in this case mails something like "... exited with 123, mailing 
output", even if the actual output is empty. I thought the Gna cron would do 
the same.
