The popupshowing event bubbles up from the submenu to the toolbarbutton,
which rebuilds the menu. This is not a nice thing to do when the menu is
already open (there was a bug filed on the main browser context menu
doing this). Of course this shouldn't cause it to crash, but XUL menus
are rather flaky...
