Hi Eric, Glad you are interested. Long story short, I feel like I should pass this on because there is a lot of community interest, and I no longer have the time to give to it that it deserves.
There are probably 6-8 new language translations which people have created on babelzilla that have not yet been integrated. There are also tons of bugs filed which have received no attention: http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/buglist.cgi?product=fasterfox. In general, the way the prefetching feature works right now leaves something to be desired. It could be much smarter and more targeted. The event timing could also be better (e.g. the robots.txt fetching should be asynch). It seems like there is much more that could be done with this extension, and I just wanted to put out the offer to see if someone was interested in picking up the torch.
