I've had problems tagging from within Eclipse previously;  I think it has
something to do w/ Eclipse's self-built CVS client.

Tagging from the command line is the best I've been able to come up with so far.

On a related note, you might want to check out this page to make sure the
"guest" user can check out your tags when you're done:
