Hi Kyrie, Sets of such JSON specification files for various concrete vehicle models are in the Chrono data directory, under data/vehicle/. For example, the various JSON files completely specifying the various subsystems for a HMMWV vehicle are located in subdirectories of data/vehicle/hmmwv<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/tree/main/data/vehicle/hmmwv>. Start by looking at demo_VEH_WheeledJSON<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/blob/main/src/demos/vehicle/wheeled_models/demo_VEH_WheeledJSON.cpp> which uses models defined through such JSON files.
You do not provide any details on the vehicle you have in the lab and which you want to model. Assuming it has subsystem topologies for which we have templates in Chrono::Vehicle, you need to collect and measure all required parameters then generate a complete set of the required JSON files. If your vehicle has non-standard topology, you can still model it in Chrono, but you will not be able to rely on the Chrono::Vehicle module. Instead, you will have to write your own model (in C++) for that. You can see such an example in Chrono in the Mars Curiosity<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/tree/main/src/chrono_models/robot/curiosity> rover.
