Hi Jiapeng,

You would create a trimesh collision shape, based on a ChTriangleMeshConnected
object.
I added the ability to read a
ChTriangleMeshConnected<https://api.projectchrono.org/classchrono_1_1geometry_1_1_ch_triangle_mesh_connected.html>
 from an STL file a few months ago (see
ChTriangleMeshConnected::CreateFromSTLFile and ChTriangleMeshConnected::
LoadSTLMesh), so you can only do this with the latest code in the ‘main’ branch
of the Chrono git repository.

Subject: [chrono] stl file import for Chrono-Bullet

Hi all,

We know that Chrono uses Bullet package to do contact detection.

If I import two triangular meshes based on two *.stl files. Can I do contact
detection between these two meshes? Which "shape" object should I use to import
these two *.stl files?

Best
Jiapeng
