We just released version 9.0.0 of the Chrono software.  The source for this 
release is in the 
release/9.0<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/tree/release/9.0> branch of 
the GitHub repository, under tag 
9.0.0<https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/tree/9.0.0>. Development 
continues in the main branch.

Documentation for the 9.0.0 release can be accessed at

Note that this release includes the major refactoring we announced a while ago.

New features and capabilities in Chrono v9.0.0 include:

  *   direct integration of ROS2 with Chrono.
  *   parsers for URDF (Unified Robotics Description Format) specification 
files.
  *   support for exporting and importing co-simulation FMUs for the Functional 
Mock-Up Interface standard 2.0.
  *   new run-time visualization module based on Vulkan and VulkanSceneGraph.
  *   Blender add-on for importing Chrono simulations for post-processing and 
rendering.
