                  JEDDAH, 4 June 2005 - A survey conducted on 100 single women
aged between 18 and 24 showed that 50 percent of them were ready to marry rich
men as old as their fathers, Al-Watan daily reported.

The report said half the women surveyed preferred an older,
richer man because "they are morally and financially ready to handle the
responsibilities of a house and wife."

Thirty percent of women preferring old men said they did not
trust younger men while 20 percent said older men "treat women with maturity
and respect".

Seventy-five percent of those surveyed said they prefer a
rich man, according to the survey.

Sara Badi, an 18-year-old high school student, told Al-Watan:
"I cannot live with a man who depends on a job salary only, because I don't
believe in the idea that two people need to build their future together."

Rawya Sharaf, a 20-year-old university student, said she
would not marry a man who could not provide "a dream house, diamonds, honeymoon
in one of the international capitals and a maid and driver".
