Husband Beats Wife to Death Arab News JEDDAH, 9 July 2005 A young husband beat his wife to death in the Al-Rabwa neighborhood in Jeddah after three months of turbulent marriage, Al-Madinah newspaper reported. After an argument Thursday, the husband beat his wife severely, injuring her so badly that he sought medical assistance from a doctor at a nearby clinic to stop the woman's profuse bleeding, according to police. Despite successful medical intervention to treat the exterior wounds, the husband awoke the next morning to find his wife dead due to continued bleeding from internal injuries. The husband then called police who arrived in the apartment with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Police arrested the husband and seized evidence found in the apartment. A police source told Al- Madinah that investigators found traces of blood in the apartment and first-aid materials the husband was using to tend to his wife who was beaten with metal objects and wires around her bloodied nose and mouth. Nearby residents expressed shock when they learned that the loud arguments of their neighbors were not the simple disagreements of a young couple but rather the prelude to bloody murder.
