Apakah slum adalah obyek strategis militer dan dunia tidak boleh tahu ada kemiskinan di Jakarta? Kalau bangunan yang indah-indah boleh ditonton orang, apa salahnya dilihat bangunan yang kunyuk-kunyuk?
Yang mengorgasisasikan tour ke slum itu hanya mencari duit, mungkin mereka tidak ambil pusing, karena perusahaan touris mencari laba dengan berbagai obyek. Saya kira orang miskin di slum di NKRI tidak biasa berorganisasi secara teratur unntuk mengatasi masalah yang mereka derita untuk bisa memecahkan masalah sendiri sesuai kemampuan, Kalau sudah bisa mengorsasi diri berarti sudah separuh jalan untuk mengatasi, sisa keperluan bisa car bantaun dari yang mau membantu. Beberapa tahun saya pernah ikut “touris” dari Jepang antara lain ke daerah slum di Equador dan Honduras, karena ada organisasi kaum miskin maka touris yang datang bukan sekadar melihat, tetapi membawa bantuan.
