Pendapat Muhammad bahwa Yesus adalah manusia tanpa dosa tersirat pula dalam sebuah hadis; Abu Hurairah meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah bersabda, "Setan telah menyentuh tubuh semua manusia dengan kedua jarinya saat manusia tersebut dilahirkan, kecuali Isa putra Maryam, karena setan gagal ketika mencoba menyentuh tubuh Isa. Setan hanya berhasil menyentuh plasentanya.
