Twin car explosions kill 20 soldiers in Daraa: activists Al Arabiya with agencies At least 20 soldiers were killed on Saturday in southern Syria after two cars loaded with explosives drove into a military camp in the city of Daraa, activists said. The twin car bombs exploded minutes apart in the back garden of a military club in the city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said according to AFP. The detonation of the second vehicle caused the casualties, it added. A third explosion hit another military post in the city, but did not cause any casualties, the Observatory said. The cause of the third explosion was not immediately known, reported AFP. Initial reports from the opposition's Syrian Media Center said that five massive explosions targeted security centers in Daraa, according to Al Arabiya news channel. State news agency SANA reported that two car bomb attacks hit the city, causing casualties and significant damage, but provided no further details.
