The classic LP Persuasive Percussion from the legendary label Command has been unavailable for many years and now it is reborn! Common stereo LPs are made from ½ or ¼ inch magnetic tapes, this title was transcribed from recordings made on 35mm film. Apart from higher costs, films are superior to magnetic tapes in every aspect being wider, more robust to endure wear and tear, suitable for higher recording speeds thus able to retain finer details for multi-track mastering. The results are evident --- a much clearer sound, wider and deeper sound-stage, making it in every sense an audiophile standard record. Enoch Light, the head of Command Records, produced Persuasive Percussion with an enthusiasm. He created a spectacular sound set-up and stressed the channel separation of the left and right channels. Listeners will be able to feel virtually the 3D-ness of the sound-stage.Persuasive Percussion was performed by the maestro band leader Terry Snyder with his all-star percussionists. They performed 24 classic tracks of easy listening music. You will hear the sharp and tingling percussions, and hot brass music which will thrill you from the first song to the last!
