PETALING JAYA: The woman who made a controversial video celebrating Hari
Raya with her pet dogs has alleged that an imam attempted to attack her in
front of her house Wednesday but was restrained by the police.

"The police were in my house over the report I made when the imam arrived,
and stood outside my gate shouting at me," claimed Maznah Mohd Yusof, 38,
who goes by Chetz Togom, who was being questioned by Malaysian
Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) officials when contacted.

She said the imam had to be stopped by the police from assaulting her.

"I'm surprised that an imam can act like this," she said.

"The police have advised me to hold a press conference to explain the
video. I had no intention of insulting Islam," she said.

She told *The Star Online *that she had made a police report on Tuesday
over social media users uploading the video on YouTube and making
allegations against her.

She also claimed to have received death threats via SMS.

Chetz is in the middle of an social media storm after a video of her
spending her Hari Raya with her dogs three years ago was uploaded on
YouTube on Monday.

The 104-second clip, entitled '*Video Menghina Islam 1 Hari di Hari Raya*'
shows Chetz near a mosque with three dogs with the *Takbir Raya *(a special
prayer recited during the first day of Hari Raya) playing in the background.

She is also seen washing their paws and feeding them *kuih raya *(cookies).

"Your religion is my religion. It's not my responsibility if you
misinterpret the message I tried to spread in that video," Chetz replied to
a Facebook user who asked if she was making fun of his religion or wanted
to increase her business reach.

The video has been viewed more than 35,000 times so far. It has received
many comments from YouTube users who blasted her for the video.

It has received 539 dislikes compared to only 38 likes.

Meanwhile, Aneesa Alphonsus, who claims to be a close friend of Chetz,
posted on Facebook that anyone who knew Chetz would attest to how much
respect she has for her faith and religion.

"She has battled inwardly with several of her choices in regards to helping
dogs, and has been in trouble numerous times because of this," she said in
a letter posted on Chetz's Facebook page.
"It takes courage to do this. It takes courage to go through something like
this - to follow what your heart and conscience tells you, to the chagrin
of people who react so unfairly so something they didn't care to find out
more about," added Aneesa.
