U.S. troops: paid mercenaries for al-Qaeda. If these Muslim countries are going to foot the bill, why don't they send their own troops?

That offer is on the table.â
Asked by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) about how much those countries would contribute, Kerry said they have offered to pay for all of a full invasion.
âIn fact, some of them have said that if the United States is prepared to go do the whole thing the way weâve done it previously in other places, theyâll carry that cost,â Kerry said. âThatâs how dedicated they are at this. Thatâs not in the cards, and nobodyâs talking about it, but theyâre talking in serious ways about getting this done.
