JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former pastor accused of molesting three women when they were children was arrested Thursday on new charges of sexual battery on a man when he was a boy. Robert Calhoun Gray Jr., 80, was arrested after a 33-year-old former student, from Palatka, told authorities that Gray kissed him, fondled him and performed oral sex on him when he was 9 or 10 years old, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Gray was being charged with capital sexual battery on a victim younger than 12. The longtime pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Gray was also in charge of Trinity Christian Academy, a school he founded in 1967. He resigned in 1992 to do missionary work. Gray already faces four other charges of sexual battery. He was charged May 19 after three women accused him of molesting them when they were children. Almost two dozen women have accused Gray of abusing them when they were between the ages of 5 and 10 but the statute of limitations has run out on most cases, the sheriff's office said. Gray was free on $25,003 bail after his first arrest in May. Bail in the new case was set at the same amount. An official at the jail said he had been released Thursday.
