He sits outside his sister's house blocks away from his own home, under court order to stay away after allegedly *setting up a secret video camera in his step daughter's bedroom.* Sixty-one year old Moten says he set up the camera lens to scare his wife who was spending a lot of time in their daughter's room. He says his wife is now out to get him. His wife Charlotte calls it nonsense. "There is no reason to have a camera or lens in a child's room. No reason. Why would you scare me. We are family, if we had a problem with what was going on in this house, we should be able to sit down and talk." says Charlotte Moten. *When the 14 year old found the device, Charlotte took it to police and filed a report that a camera was in the bedroom air conditioning vent and she suspected her husband had been watching her daughter change clothes. * Police arrested Moten after searching the house, but say *they never found any videotapes.* Police say parents are not breaking the law when they set up cameras to monitor their children. They just have to be in agreement on it. "I don't think his wife knew the camera was there and he did. Even though there were no tapes found, it appears it violated the statute." says West Memphis Police Chief, Bob Paudert. Charlotte Moten says her husband was up to no good. "He is sick. There is no reason to videotape a child's room period." says Charlotte Moten. "I'm telling the truth. No one has to believe me. I am telling* the God sent truth*." says Jack Moten. *Now he will have to tell his truth to the judge. * Jack Moten will be back in West Memphis court August 29th. *He also faces charges for identity theft* in Shelby County.
