355 detonators remain missing

Police are yet to capture those responsible for stealing 355 detonators from
the warehouse of stone mining company PT Fitrian Eka Manunggal in Krangjati
village, Semarang regency, a police official said Friday.
Central Java Police chief Insp. Gen. Dody Sumantyawan said Friday that police
had questioned six people in relation to Tuesday's incident.
"So far we have no conclusive information but the investigation has started to
point to one person," Dody said, without elaborating further.
The detonators were meant to be used to blast stone from a cliff at nearby
Merdi.
The thefts were discovered by two of the firm's security guards on Tuesday.
Besides the detonators, the thieves also stole lightning prevention cables.
The thefts were reported to police Wednesday. Of 12 sets of warehouse keys,
eight are kept by members of the company and four are kept by police.
"The company has owned detonators since 2001 but its permit expired in 2005. It
has applied for a permit extension but this has not yet been issued," Dody
