Qur'an 3:59 YUSUFALI: The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was. Qur'an 19:67 YUSUFALI: But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? Qur'an 15:26 YUSUFALI: We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape; Qur'an 16:4 YUSUFALI: He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! Qur'an 96:2 YUSUFALI: Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: The criticism presented above is a classic example of the EITHER-OR fallacy. If he uses the same standard, the critic of these verses will find contradiction in almost every book. If he looks into biology books, he will similarly get confused. In one page he will learn that he is made of atoms, in other made of cells, of DNA, sperm, egg, embryo, earthly materials, etc. He would express his disbelief and confusion with a similar question. [edit] Who was the First Muslim? Qur'an 2:132 YUSUFALI: And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam." Qur'an 7:143 YUSUFALI: We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." Qur'an 39:12 YUSUFALI: "And I (Mohamed) am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam." Qur'an 39:11 Please note that in the above verse Allah (God) is talking to Mohamed. See previous verse for contex: If we check google.com with the following words: Olympic first place 100-meters and running, we will find many names of athletes who got the first place. If we use the logic of the critic, we would think that there is a great confusion and contradictory claims regarding the first place winner of 100-meters. What is wrong with that logic? Obviously, we need to consider the two important elements called time and space! Abraham was first muslim (submitter and promoter of peace) in his time and location. Similarly, Moses and Muhammad were too pioneer muslims of their times. [edit] Are Allah's Decrees Changed? Qur'an 2:106 YUSUFALI: None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things? Qur'an 6:34 YUSUFALI: Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers. Qur'an 6:115 YUSUFALI: The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all. Qur'an 16:101 YUSUFALI: When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not. [edit] Was the Pharaoh killed? Qur'an 10:90 YUSUFALI: We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)." Qur'an 10:91 YUSUFALI: (It was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion!-and thou didst mischief (and violence)! Qur'an 10:92 YUSUFALI: "This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!" Qur'an 17:102 YUSUFALI: Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!" Qur'an 17:103 YUSUFALI: So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him. Verse 10:92 does not say that God will keep Pharaoh alive; it informs us that God will preseverve His body (in a mummified state) after he was drowned. [edit] Does Allah Command Evil or Not? The Quran in the following verses says Allah can't command indecency or evil. Qur'an 7:28 YUSUFALI: When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "Allah commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?" Qur'an 16:90 YUSUFALI: Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. Qur'an 6:131 SHAKIR: This is because your Lord would not destroy towns unjustly while their people were negligent. But contradicts himself when he says he commands abomination. Qur'an 17:16 PICKTHAL: And when We would destroy a township We send commandment to its folk who live at ease, and afterward they commit abomination therein, and so the Word (of doom) hath effect for it, and we annihilate it with complete annihilation.
