It's only natural to ask....
Why does caregiver and caretaker mean the same thing? Why does flammable and inflammable mean the same thing? How come overtones and undertones are the same thing? Why are things typed up but written down? Why is an elevator still called an elevator when its going down? Why is it called lipstick when it always comes off? Why do they call someone "late" when they died early? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour? Why is it that rain drops but snow falls? Why are softballs hard? Why do they call it taking a dump? Shouldn't they call it leaving a dump? Why is an electrical outlet called an outlet when you plug things into it? Shouldn't it called an inlet? Why do people say, "you've been working like a dog" when dogs just sit around all day? Why is it, whether you sit up or sit down, the result is the same? Why is it called "after dark" when it is really after light? Why is it called a "building" when it is already built? Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist, but a person who drives a race car not called a racist? ========== Post message: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe : [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Homepage : http://proletar.8m.com/ Yahoo!
