House commission to ask Police Chief candidate about Munir case The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Sun, 10/10/2010 9:02 PM | National The House of Representatives Commission III said Sunday it would ask National Police Chief candidate Comr. Gen. Timur Pradopo about his commitment to revive the investigation into the death of human rights activist Munir. "In Timur's hand, closed cases can be re-opened," House commission legislator Gayus Lumbuun of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com Gayus said legal enforcers had yet to do their best to resolve Munir case. "The case seems to be ignored," he added He said he would also question Timur the reason President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono only named him the only hopeful for the National Police Chief post.
