Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- The Taliban has claimed responsibility for a
roadside bomb attack that targeted a bus in Pakistan on Thursday, leaving at
least five dead and 10 injured.

The explosion occurred on the main road through Karachi in Karsaz district,
said Shafqat Ali, a police official. It was powered by around 3 kilograms (6.6
pounds) of explosive material.

Four of the fatalities were navy personnel, Ali said.

Pakistan's Navy, Army and Air Force "are our enemy and should be prepared for
more attacks on them," Ihsan Ullah Ihsan, a Taliban spokesman told CNN.

The incident comes two days after another bombing attack aimed at Pakistani
navy personnel in Karachi.

At least three people were killed and more than 30 wounded when
remote-controlled bombs detonated near two buses carrying navy officials. The
bombs went off within half-an-hour of each other.

Ali said the explosive material used in the latest attack resembled the
substance used in Tuesday's attack, but noted there has been no claim of
responsibility for either.

Last week, an explosion at a gaming club in the city killed at least 15 people
and injured 40 others.

Karachi is the main commercial hub of Pakistan. It has seen a drastic increase
in political, ethnic and religious violence in recent months.
